surface area is two trainagles and should be the same so 1/2*base*height which is 8*9*.5 =36 and there are 2 so 36*2= 72 cm^2. then we have three rectangles and those rectangles are the lateral area so we will now find the solution to both your questions

1 is 23*9=207

2 is 8*23=184

3 is 23*12.04=276.92 


add them up and we get = 667.92 cm^2 for the lateral area

add all of them up and we get 667.92+72 = 739.92cm^2 for the surface area
