According to the Collins dictionary (2009), a group refers to individuals who act in similar
circumstances to achieve a similar goal. Society is built on the achievement of these common
objectives within groups. In sociology members of a group usually do have similar interests and
preferences and even a common behavior which may make them consider others as outcasts.
