100000. Don't forget that 000000 is a possible code. Think about it: if there were 1 digit, there would be ten possible codes (0 through 9) or 10^1. If there were two digits, there would be 100 possible codes (0 through 99) or 10^2. Since there are five digits, there are 10^5 or 100000 possible codes.
