For this you have to find the LCM of 7(=6+1 for husband) and 6(=5+1 for wife) and then subtract 1 from it.

LCM of 7 and 6 = 7*6 = 42

On the 42nd day they will be off work again

or

after 42 - 1 = 41 days they will be both off work again.

Husband(6 days of work and 1 day leave)

6 + 1 = 7

6 + 1 = 7  |  Total = 14 days

6 + 1 = 7  |  Total = 21 days

6 + 1 = 7  |  Total = 28 days

6 + 1 = 7  |  Total = 35 days

6 + 1 = 7  |  Total = 42 days

Wife (5 days of work and 1 day leave)

5 + 1 = 6

5 + 1 = 6  |  Total = 12 days

5 + 1 = 6  |  Total = 18 days

5 + 1 = 6  |  Total = 24 days

5 + 1 = 6  |  Total = 30 days

5 + 1 = 6  |  Total = 36 days

5 + 1 = 6  |  Total = 42 days
