what is the molarity of a solution that contains 0.50 moles of NaOH in 0.50 liters of solution

May 29th, 2015

The Molarity is the number of moles of solute (n) divided by the volume of the solution in Liters (V)

then

M=n/V

M= 0.50 moles of NaOH / 0.50 L= 1.0 mole /L

The molarity of the solution M=1.0 moles/L
