Question Description

Task 1: (500 words)

Submit a work proposal for this assignment on or before the above-mentioned date, which must include:

  • Understanding of deliverables – detailed description of deliverables
  • General overview of proposed plan with initial understanding and solution
  • Resources identified
  • Time schedules

The Proposal must be submitted within 72 Hours

Task 2: (2500 words)

The e-mail service is increasingly essential for organizations and their employees. As such, it needs constant monitoring to resolve any performance issues and to sustain an adequate level of service. To cope with the increase of traffic as well as the dimension of organizations, several architectures have been evolving, such as cluster computing, promising new paradigms of service delivery, which can possibility solve many current problems such as scalability, increased storage and processing capacity, greater rationalization of resources, cost reduction, and increase in performance. However, it is necessary to check whether they are suitable to receive e-mail servers, and as such the purpose of this case study will concentrate on evaluating the performance of e-mail servers, in different hosting architectures. Beyond computing platforms, is also analyze different server applications. They will be analyzed to determine which combinations of computer platforms and applications obtained better performances for the SMTP, POP3 and IMAP services.

The general requirements of the report are given below: The students are expected to focus on:

Task 2a.

  • Introduction
  • Objectives
  • Rationale for selecting the system

Task 2b.

  • Description of the selected system:
  • High-Availability (HA) Clusters
  • Load-Balancing Clusters
  • E-Mail Service
  • Mail Storage Format
  • Architecture

Task 2c.

  • Critically identify and analyze how the organization to manage the risk factors associated with implementing the email system
  • Provide a detailed recommendation on how to minimize the risk factors
  • Critical self-evaluation of the process
  • Conclusions

*** Total words count = 3000 words

*** Each key in task 2b&2c should be done with literature review.

*** In-Text Citations and References using Harvard style.

Proposal on the Best Email Servers2
Introduction
The study will focus on emails and the email servers that provide tunnels for accessing
these emails, we first need to understand what are the major concepts that are related to emails
they include
SMTP which stands for Simple Mail Transfer Protocol is a protocol for sending e-mail
messages between servers. A lot of the e-mail systems for sending mail through the Internet use
SMTP to send messages from one server to the other. (Glickstein, R.S., and Miller, M.A.,
2015).Then messages sent will be retrieved with an e-mail client by using IMAP or POP.
Additionally, SMTP general objective is to send messages from a mail client to the mail servers.
The main challenge arises when you want to configure your email applications and that is why
you need to specify both the POP or IMAP server and the SMTP server. POP3 and IMAP
services there are many benefits of these two servers, the first thing is about IMAP is that it
allows the user to get the email from any place, from any electronic device. IMAP allows you to
read your email without even downloading or storing it on your computer device but you are to
read through the email service. And because of this, you can access your email from any
electronic device, anywhere around the world whether it is your phone, tablet of friend’s
computer.
This study is going to analyze and propose solutions to problems which relates to emails
and the servers, the study will ensure that it gives proper solutions which will provide timely
resolutions to the email traffic that is within any organization. The problems of traffics and the
issue of the diverse dimensions within the organization and developing of new technologies is
going to be solved in the easiest way possible. Solutions such as scalability, increased storage
and processing capacity, greater rationalization of resources, cost reduction, and increase in

performance will be the key focus of the proposal in order to ensure that the organization
receives the most suitable email servers and emailing platforms that will solve the problems of
the organization.
Therefore, the main purpose of the whole study is to understand ways of improving the
performance of the email servers and also evaluating the performance of e-mail servers, in the
different hosting architectures. In different computing platforms and also analyze different server
applications. These servers will be evaluated to determine which combinations of computer
platforms and applications obtained better performances for the SMTP, POP3 and IMAP
services.

Literature Review
Many research has been done before to discuss on the best system that will support the
email servers such as the Simple Mail Transfer protocol and the IMAP which allows you to read
your email from any place that you want. A lot of opinions and concepts have been discussed
and yet there is still more to it that yet requires in-depth analysis so that all that have missed
before doesn’t have to go unrealized, by having this knowledge which is considered as factual
information it will enable organizations to deal with situations that make email servers have
difficulties.
My best understanding to this research question on which is the best system to support
the emails servers, depends on the fact that organizations should play the bigger share to make
improvement on this sector, they need to consider certa...

Tutor went the extra mile to help me with this essay. Citations were a bit shaky but I appreciated how well he handled APA styles and how ok he was to change them even though I didnt specify. Got a B+ which is believable and acceptable.
