To what extent is “thrill seeking” a motivation behind certain types of property offenses?

The motivation of being apply to get away with it and sell/fence property. They call it boosting, it not just a kid in a candy store. These people have boxes with secret compartments, blockers who hide them boosting the items. They are known to use decoys and the don't walk to their cars and calmly open the door and start the engine.  I don't think it's thrill. Some people think it is so easy to take a item off the self and put it in their pocket. They don't think it's a problem until they do it and alarms go off and a store employee grabs them
