In our first weeks of this course, we noted that there tends to be a correlation between number of hours kids spend watching violent TV and their levels of aggressiveness. Imagine we conduct a study where we determine the number of hours of violent TV that ten middle-schoolers watch in a one week period (which can range from 0 to 168, provided they never sleep!) and teacher ratings of the child’s aggressiveness (0 = not at all aggressive to 10 = extremely aggressive).
