Notice that the Third Estate figure is skeletal and crawling on hands and knees because of the load he carries.. And that load is the other two estates, and the king. They are shown as fat, yet riding the Third Estate like a beast of burden. They are also dressed in rich clothing, representing wealth. So, it boils down to the First and Second Estate live off the work of the Third Estate, growing fat and wealthy on the labor of the Third Estate, like parasites sucking the life out of an animal.
