A card is drawn from a deck of 52 cards.  Find the probability of getting a diamond or a red face card.  (A face card is a Jack, Queen, or King of each suit.)

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

There are 13 diamond cards, and there are 6 red face cards since there are 2 reds for each jack queen and king

Now since it is an or we must find the probability of each then - the ones that overlap

so there are 13/52 +6/52-3/52 since 3 of the red cards are diamonds

thus the end result is

16/52 or 8/26 or 4/13
