Explanation & Answer

Here's the solution file.:) :)

1. Write the equation of a circle with a center at (0, 0) and a radius of 5.
Sol: Here h = 0, k = 0, r = 5
So, the equation of circle in standard form is
(𝑥 − ℎ)2 + (𝑦 − 𝑘)2 = 𝑟 2
Putting the values in above, we get
(𝑥 − 0)2 + (𝑦 − 0)2 = (5)2
𝑥 2 + 𝑦 2 = 25
Hence.
2. Write the equation of a circle with a center of (0, 0) and a diameter of 20.
Sol: Here h = 0, k = 0, r = d/2 = 20/2 = 10
So, the equation of circle in standard form is
(𝑥 − ℎ)2 + (𝑦 − 𝑘)2 = 𝑟 2
Putting the values in above, we get
(𝑥 − 0)2 + (𝑦 − 0)2 = (10)2
𝑥 2 + 𝑦 2 = 100
Hence.
3. Write the equation of a circle with a center at (1, 2) and a diameter of 15.
Sol: Here h = 1, k = 2, r = d/2 = 15/2
So, the equation of circle in standard form is
(𝑥 − ℎ)2 + (𝑦 − 𝑘)2 = 𝑟 2
Putting the values in above, we get

15 2
(𝑥 − 1) + (𝑦 − 2...
