Description

Watch these two movies "Black or White" and “ Game Change”. Then write

TWO DIFFERENT reflections about them.

1 - Watch the movie "Black or White" and analyze it for its diversity issues. Include in your discussion whether the title of the movie is appropriate.

After watching the comedy-drama based on real events, explain whether people from "two seemingly different worlds can find common ground when nothing is as simple as black or white?

2- Watch the movie “ Game Change” what you learned about the presidential campaign and the media.

The movie "pulls back the curtain on the intense human drama surrounding the John McCain 2008 team, the critical decisions made behind closed doors and how the choice was made to bring Sarah Palin on the ticket."

What role did the media play in all of this?

What, if anything, did this movie reveal about the media and the 2016 presidential campaign?

How, if at all, did this movie enlighten you about the 2016 presidential campaign and the media?

Black or White Who cares for the girl if her mother died and his father is addicted? This movie talks about this question and answers it. According to what I saw, the main issue in this movie is who will take care of the girl, her grandfather; from her mother side who is white, or her grandfather from her father side, who is black. The race in this film played an important role between the white and the black people, and this film explained what they are thinking about each other. For example, her grandfather, from her father side, he thought that he had to take care of her because he doesn't want she grow with white people. But her grandfather, from her mother side, wants to take care of her because he needs that in his home. However, this issue did not end until it reached the court and her grandfather, from her mother side, takes her. In my opinion, this movie discusses one of the most important issues that doesn't appear in the public opinion. Hence, it is rare to hear about these issues in exchange for other issues related to racism, which is focused on the media on a daily basis. In conclusion, as for the name of a movie, I found it inappropriate because it was chosen among white or black. It is not logical to choose the name of a film like this because societies are beginning to try to change the habit of underdevelopment and seek to develop societies. 1 GAME CHANGE These days the politics play a big role in our world, especially for the biggest countries such as the United States, Russia, and United Kingdom. The movie which is Game Change shows how candidates try to achieve their goal, no matter they are republicans or democratic. First of all, this movie talks about the U.S election in 2008, that was between Barak Obama and John McCain. The main point in this movie is to show how nominees were in this election. Also, it shows how the speeches also were between the parties that are republican and democratic. However, the Game change, U.S election in 2008, was a great example about what I studied during this course because I see Obama's speech was included the best meaning of the diversity, for example, he said that "this election to you not to me”, and he was supported that point and working on citizens, county, and world goals, and he tried to achieve peace among peoples. In the other hand, the candidate who is John McCain negative because his speech was clearly supported the racism, and he sees Obama is a dark black, also he imagined how the black man will be a leader of the United States. Moreover, John McCain wanted from his team to choose the running mate who is Sarah Palin from Alaska as a white girl, that means he wants to use the color as a tool to achieve his purpose and win in the United States election in 2008. In conclusion, " the right things will win" that quote is very appropriate to use it to describe this movie because citizens will usually use their mind to choose the president, no matter he/she is black or white. Again, as humans in the 20 century, we have to think before making a judgment about the person. And the U.S election considered one of the greatest example to understand what is the right and what is wrong.
