write about media violence on a shooting
See the rubric below and send in your assignment via this page. Since this is a short assignment (two pages double space) write on the following:With the horrific summer of 2016 which included the shooting of two more black men by police and the killing of police officers in Dallas, this essay on the way the media has handled this violence is more important than ever.Again, you are to write a two page double spaced essay about how the news handled the the shootings and the court cases that followed. Some of the news was obviously slanted (Bill O'Reilly called Black Lives Matter a Hate Group). In what ways? For what reasons? Do you think all other news was ignored during this event, and if so why (or why not) and whether, if other news was ignored, why might this case have been so important that it was all right to do so or why might it have been the wrong thing to do? Please let me know your true opinions on this.Personally, I think the second part, on the news of this situation being covered 24/7 is a touch more important.MKRubricTrevon Martin CaseTrevon Martin CaseCriteriaRatingsPtsThis criterion is linked to a Learning OutcomeEssay no longer than two double spaced pages - Spelling and grammar and use of footnotes or endnotesNo longer than two pages - spelling and grammar15.0 ptsThis criterion is linked to a Learning OutcomeResearch into a number of different articles and videos on both the shooting and the trail along with use of footnotes or end notes20.0 ptsThis criterion is linked to a Learning OutcomeOrganization and objectivity of the essay25.0 ptsThis criterion is linked to a Learning OutcomeFinal Conclusion of your essay and how you reached it.40.0 ptsTotal Points: 100.0PreviousNext

AMU House & Field Slaves Slave Categories & Work Duties Discussion
Topic: Slavery and the South...Slave system dealt with a variety of slave categories and work duties that tied to the economics of the South.
Question: I’ve often heard students, and even comedians, argue the following question “What you rather be a field slave or house slave?” Debate this issue using the content from the text book. Is there even a “better” scenario? Be sure to address positives and negatives from either role in the slave system. For instance, what rights or privileges may be given to a skill slave? How could this be a negative?

Definition of Relativism and an applicable example
Definition of Absolutism and an applicable example
Available credible resources so that participants can learn more: this can be from valid websites, your text book, additional readings from the class, videos etc.
The brochure that you are creating is to be a tri-fold design, double-sided. Draw attention to your brochure by using well-placed art, an easy to read design with your content, and effective use of color. Looking for information on how to create a brochure? Check out this resource

TCW Conflict Management Styles and Triggers Case Study
1 - Conflict Triggers and Styles
Initial Post: Answer the following in your discussion.
#1 Using the Class Poll "Conflict Triggers," select the main cause YOU BELIEVE to be a trigger. Briefly explain why you identified this trigger as being a primary cause of conflict.
#2 Reflect on a recent conflict you had with a friend, family member, co-worker, or another person. In your own words, what escalated the interaction for you, or what was your trigger? These will be typically be feelings you have experienced in the past such as feeling excluded, powerless, unheard, judged, etc. You do not have to describe the event.
#3 After reviewing the Reading & Resources folder on Conflict Management Styles, identify which style was used by the other person in the conflict situation you just identified and how this style either helped or hindered resolution.
Replies: Respond to two (2) classmates with how you view the trigger(s) and style(s) they identified in their initial post. Have you experienced similar triggers and styles?

Rasmussen College Advocating for Children with Special Needs Milestone Checklist Paper
build at least one milestone checklist, with at least 10 items, you can use with your children and submit it as the "Developmental Checklist" section of your project.Developmental domains can be physical, cognitive, language, social, or emotional. This checklist could focus on one developmental domain or you could choose to include milestones from a variety of developmental domains. The most important thing to remember is that this checklist of milestones needs to be specific to your situation so that you can use it immediately to assess children. The checklist must be specific enough that you can measure if the child has mastered it or not. For example, if you were going to use the Physical Domain and want to see if a child is able to walk.Measurable: Child will take at least four steps before falling or holding on to something.Non-measurable: Child can walk.In the measurable checklist it is easy to see if the child has accomplished this milestone. If the child falls on the second step, they have not mastered the skill. If they take 6 steps, they have. In the non-measurable example it is hard to know what criteria you used to know if the child could walk. For this assignment you need to include a cover sheet, the checklist, and a reference page. You will need a reference page if you used any information from another source. Remember, this is checklist is to be developed by you and not copied from another source. You do not need to complete the checklist and you do not need to write anything about it. You can make the checklist bullet points if you would like.
