Introduction
Power is the capability to influence or manipulate the behaviour of others to achieve
certain objectives as opposed to other goals. Power in organization is always very crucial as it
helps the seniors to allocate task to the subordinate staff and ensure the work is done effectively
.Power aims to give the expectations of the organization to the workers. Politics refers to nonofficial way of taking ideas to an organization aiming to impact increase in power or meet key
objectives of the organization. Aristotle quoted that politics comes from a wide areas of interest
and therefore among the interest, those that are in competition should be managed in a unique
way. He added that use of creative decision making alone where interests are in conflict is not
enough and hence need for involvement of the political behaviours to handle such issues.
INFLUENCE POLITICS AND POWER OF
In the present days, working in organizations need one to be well equipped with
knowledge of handling agendas that are conflicting and how to change power depending with
situation. Good politics is not about targeting a win at every time but also to maintaining good
relationship while working to achieve the set targets As it was outlined earlier, many are the
case when politics is viewed as being more of negative impacts than positive but in real sense,
