Solve the compund inequality –6(w + 2) > 12 and 17 – 2w < 111

Jun 5th, 2015

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

Solve each inequality seperatly:

-6(w + 2) > 12;      w + 2 < -2;      w < -4                   (Remember that when we multiply or divide by a negative

17 - 2w < 111;       -2w < 94;       w > -47                  you have to change the direction of the inequality)

Combine the two answers:       -47 < w < -4

Hope that helps.

Please let me know if you need any clarification. I'm always happy to answer your questions.
