One of the obstacles is the increase in pollution and energy consumption. Much transportation,
sorting, cleaning and processing of the materials are needed which increases the consumption of
energy. In these processes releases by-products that pollute the air, water, and soil. The recycling
process results in pollutants which will harm the environment. For example, recycling the steel which is
used in the buildings may cause the gamma radiation poising. The recycling may not guarantee the
quality of a product and customers may fail to buy the products.
To overcome these obstacles the recycling processing should not be done in residential areas.
These will protect people from harmful gases that may be released in the air. Regulated areas should be
set aside so as not to cause more pollution on air, water, and the soil.
