Explanation & Answer

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

Gradient = Change in y / change in x

= (1/3 - - 2/3)/ 3/2 - 1/2) = 1/1 = 1

 The equation is  also given by

Gradient = Change in y / change in x

1 = (y - -2/3)/ ( x- 1/2)

1 = (y + 2/3)/(x -1/2)

(x-1/2) =(y + 2/3)

x-1/2 -2/3 = y

x - 7/5 = y

x = y+7/6

y = x -7/6

NB. An equation is in slope intercept form if it written in the form y = mx + c, where m is the gradient and c is the y intercept
