If the average speed of a train between two stations is 30 miles per hour and the stations are 1/2 mile part, the time it takes the train to travel from one station to the other is?

Distance = 1/2 mile

The formula for speed is

$Speed = \frac{Distance}{Time}$

But we need to find time. So rearranging the formula

$Time= \frac{Distance}{Speed}$
