f(x+h)-f(x) / h

f(x)=2/x

f(x+h) means you put an x+h in for every x you see.

f(x+h) = 2(x+h) - 3

Subtract f(x) from that. f(x) is the original problem.

f(x+h) - f(x) = 2(x+h) - 3 - (2x -3)

f(x+h) - f(x) = 2x + 2h - 3 - 2x + 3

That's just 2h.

Finally, divide by h. That's 2.
