U r asked to solve for m, which means you have to fi d the value of m that satisfies the given equation. So to do that you have to get all terms containing g m on one side of the equal to sign and the end up with only m on that side and a number on the other side  which will be the solution.

10m = 10-5(m-7)   distribute the negative sign

10m= 10-5m+35. Add 5m to both sides

10m+5m= 10-5m+35+5m.  Simplify by combining like terms

15m= 45.      Divide both sides by 15.our solution

m= 3 (answer)
