Need in point slope form and in general form.

Passing through (6, -9) and perpendicular to the line whose equation is x-8y-3=0

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

x-8y-3=0

8y=x-3

y=(1/8)x-3/8

 In a plane, two nonvertical lines are perpendicular if and only if the product of their slopes is –1.

so m=-8

Point-Slope form of a line:

An equation of a line through a point (x1 , y1) with slope m is given by

y - y1 = m(x - x1)

we have

y-(-9)=-8(x-6)

y+9=-8(x-6)

in general form Ax+By+C=0

y+9=-8(x-6)

y+9=-8x+48

-8x-y+39=0

8x+y-39=0
