To take the composition of f and g (fog), replace the x in f(x) with g(x):

(fog)(x) = 4/xg+ 4  [f(x) = 4/x + 4]

(fog)(x) = 4/x(7/x) + 4          [since g(x) = 7/x]

(fog)(x) = 28/x^2+4
