Blog Entry
The organization that I selected for my final project is Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF),
popularly known in English as Doctors without Borders. MSF is a humanitarian medical NGO.
The organization originated in France in 1971 and has been providing critical medical assistance
to nations affected by endemic diseases and in conflict zones (Médecins Sans Frontières, 2003).
MSF was awarded a Nobel Peace Prize in 1999 because of their remarkable humanitarian aid in
times of crises. The organization relies on donor funding to provide medical assistance around
the globe (Médecins Sans Frontières, 2003).
