from origin to the magnitude of (0,0) to (3,2) is 3^2+2^2=sqrt(13)

(3,2) is rotated through 60 degrees

(0.5   -0.866      (3

0.866     0.5)      2)

hence, (x',y')=(-0.23, 3.598)

distance from 3,2 to -0.23, 3.598 is 3.604

area=(1/2)(3.604)(3.123)

= 5.6277 units square
