Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

g(x)  = x^2+2x+2

g'(x) = 2x+2 =0 hence x = -1

g''(x) = 2  (which is >0 for x=-1 hence at x = -1 function will have minimum value )

Minimum value g(-1) = (-1)^2+2*(-1)+2 = 1-2+2 =1

hence Minimum value = 1   & maximum value = Infinity
