The death penalty reflection
In the 21st century, justice has adopted other methods of correction that leave many questions
because of their dubious practices, but which, without embargo, continues to work in some parts
of the world, such as the death penalty. The death penalty goes back to the middle ages since we
had made that transition where the objective of the punishment had ceased to be the body, and
now it had concentrated in his mind, confining the individual to perpetual confinement.
Operating mostly in 5 countries in the world that represents 80% of capital murders, including
the US. From its conception, it began to have contradictions within the same sentence, although
they have never given conclusive answers to justify this method. For example, Dr. Bushman
shows it in a very logical way "We do not like people who kill other people, so to show everyone
how much we do not like people who kill people, we are going to kill people who kill other
people".(Bushman, 2018). In the end, the objective is diffuse, since it lacks concretion. Therefore
the method is erroneous and killing a person for his crimes will never be the solution.
On the other hand, this law has a deep racist and xenophobic content, almost half of the people
who are in the corridor of the dead are African-American people. Added to this, many people are
innocent and serve long sentences that are improper. Many times it is possible to save many
defendants by DNA tests in cases that at most have an eyewitness that is not enough to determine
the guilt of the accused...
