You will need to solve the equation before you can graph it on the number line.

In order to solve the equation you will need to divide both sides of the equation by -2.

Once you do this you will be left with [x] = 3    (because -6 divided by -2 is 3)

Every absolute value equation has two answers because you have to look at the positive and the negative answer (Because the absolute value of 3 is 3 and the absolute value of -3 is 3).

Therefore, the solutions are x = 3 and x = - 3.

The graph would have points on those two numbers, 3 and -3 and therefore the last graph shows the correct answer.
