Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question! Let me break this down for you step by step.

9/16 divided by 13/32.

When you divide two fractions, change division to multiplication and flip the second fraction:

So the problem becomes:  9/16 X 32/13 =

The 16 (denominator of the first fraction) and the 32 (numerator of the second fraction), can be reduced to 2/1:

This becomes:  9/1 X 2/13 = 18/13 (just multiply numerators together then denominators together).  Remember:  9/1 is the same as 9 (whole number).  You end up with a smaller number because you are multiplying a whole number by a fraction.  In other words, 2/13ths of the whole number 9 is 18/13 or 1 and 5/13.

18/13 = 1 and 5/13 (18 minus 13 = 5 so 5 is the remainder)

1 5/13 = 1 and 5/13 = 1 + 5/13 (the space between the 1 and the 5 for 1 5/13 means 1 + (5)/13.  NOT (1+5)/13 DOES NOT EQUAL 6/13.

1 (whole number) + 5/13 (fraction) as a mixed numeral or 18/13 as an improper fraction.

REMEMBER:  When you are multiplying or dividing fractions, you DO NOT NEED A COMMON DENOMINATOR, THAT IS ONLY FOR ADDING AND SUBTRACTING FRACTIONS OR MIXED NUMBERS TOGETHER.
