n(A ∪ B)  =n(A)+n(B) - n(A ∩ B)

therefore n(A ∩ B) =n(A)+n(B) - n(A ∪ B)

substituting values we get n(A ∩ B) =  5+5-7 =3

Answer : n(A ∩ B) =  3
