Introduction

Life reviews are used by individuals to take a look at their lives from a unique
perspective, and a reflection of their lives can unravel interesting insight into the process of
human development. It is a process that serves different purposes to individuals of different
demographic traits and individuals involved in all types of social, professional, emotional,
and professional life experiences and it can provide self-insight and self-critical perspectives
(Ghislandi, Sanderson and Scherbov, 2018). I will interview a war veteran, to get an insight
into his life. Past essential events which have changed the individuals' lives, as well as how
the individual has adapted to different experiences throughout his life and old age are
essential.
Theme Statement: Successful adaptation enables an individual come to terms with both
positive and negative events in his life, and at times it is difficult to come to terms, however,
a strong social support structure enables an individual in older years to adapt better and live a
much holistic life.
