A coin dealer offers to sell you an ancient nickel coin that is 3.1 cm in diameter and 4.65 mm in thickness.
A) The density of nickel is 8.9 g/cm3. How much should the coin weigh if it is pure nickel? (in grams)
B) If nickel sells for $0.216 per troy ounce, how much is the nickel content worth? (1 troy ounce = 31.1 g)
Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!
How did you get the answer for part B?
grams of coin =one pounce.thanks
Are you sure the answer is not 0.216 because when you convert the grams to troy ounces you get 1.00310329 troy ounces and 1 troy ounce is equal to 0.216 so you should have 1.00310329 is basically equal to 0.216?
