A coin dealer offers to sell you an ancient nickel coin that is 3.1 cm in diameter and 4.65 mm in thickness.

A) The density of nickel is 8.9 g/cm3. How much should the coin weigh if it is pure nickel? (in grams)

B) If nickel sells for \$0.216 per troy ounce, how much is the nickel content worth? (1 troy ounce = 31.1 g)

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

v=3.142*1.55*1.55*.465=3.5

mass=volume*density

mass=31.24 grams

b=\$o.125

Please let me know if you need any clarification. I'm always happy to answer your questions.

Are you sure the answer is not 0.216 because when you convert the grams to troy ounces you get 1.00310329 troy ounces and 1 troy ounce is equal to 0.216 so you should have 1.00310329 is basically equal to 0.216?
