OBJECTIVE I
Mark Zuckerberg is one of the world’s greatest leaders in the business world and one
that young entrepreneurs look up to. He is the CEO and co-founder of Facebook. The
company is among the biggest on-line business all over the world making billions yearly. I
am one of the biggest admirers of Zuckerberg right from the time I heard about him and
opened a Facebook account. When looking into the leadership field I am impressed with the
way he has been executing his leadership roles and responsibilities as the CEO, Chairman
and co-founder of Facebook.
Zuckerberg is doing quite well as a leader when it comes to creating the environment
which motivates the people who work with him as well as the followers all over the world.
His strategy of boosting the moral of the employees is one area that is quite effective and has
seen Facebook remain at the top for quite a long period of time now. The strategy he uses
works quite well in motivating himself as well as the employees who work under him, and
the first way he succeeds in doing this is through effective communication. Zuckerberg is
very good at communication; he is one of those type of leaders you cannot wait to hear them
speak because whenever he speaks he does more than simply communicating, goes ahead to
make his vision clear in a way that inspires others and make them feel motivated and focused
to do better in their current position (Zuckerberg, M. 2014). This the kind of a leader we
need, someone who makes people view things differently and make them feel like they are
able to do it; this is one of the qualities that I like about Zuckerberg as a leader.
Mark also does so good at building trust with the people under him. Trust is one of the
key area that a leader needs to be very keen in and ensure that he earns the trust of his
subjects. Zuckerberg has appeared to be quite successful in this; most of the employees who
work under him have talked about him as one of the most trustworthy leaders they have had

to deal with. This helps him to create that favorable environment in the company and the
employees are therefore highly motivated because they trust their boss which is quite
impressive.
