Marketing
Currently Hoosier Media utilizes traditional media vehicles for marketing. This includes print advertising to solicit new and renewal newspaper subscriptions. Other marketing tactics currently used include regional television and radio advertising spots. Management has expressed interest in expanding its marketing reach through social media and mobile app technology but is unsure how to move forward in those areas.
Information technology
Hoosier Media's newsroom is in dire need of technological updates. All workstations currently have desktop computers; however, many employees have been requesting the ability to work from home as well as have access to company networks while on the road for business. Many of the younger employees would like to have access to iPads and would like to replace their desktop computer with lightweight laptop computers.
For the next phase of your consulting engagement, address the following in a 700- to 1,050-word paper:
- Propose marketing and information technology implementation tactics for Hoosier Media, Inc.
The paper should also reflect on how the company should communicate its strategic plan to key stakeholders by:
- Identifying the information that should be communicated.
- Defining the audience that should receive the communication.
- Identifying the channel(s) of communication.

There is a changing landscape in print media due to technology which has made it easy
for consumers to access information when they need it. Corporations and companies also are
stretching their customer base on social platforms, as many clients now have shifted online. Over
the internet, people can have news and know what is happening in the world. Technology has
disrupted the way consumer consume the products and services that media provide as the era of
social media is taking over. Traditional media, therefore, should embrace technology to avoid
been outdone by social media. It hence therefore important for media corporations to come with
it marketing strategies that help improve coverage of information through using digital
platforms. This way they will maximize profits and also expand their markets (Martell, 1988).
The case of Hoosier Media Inc. shows that its revenue is dropping a day by day since
people no longer buy a newspaper. Its estimated revenue is 43,000 million dollars. In the few
past years, most of the people old and young have phones and hence access to news is just a click
away. Most of the time people are on their phones and emails. The time they spend reading a
magazine or watching traditional Television is very little. The reason why there is a decline in
sales.
I would propose the use of High-Value Content in social media and other digital
platforms to reach the customers. This is a tactic that can capture and engage the audience
because they are getting to hear something fresh and one that is interesting. The content
marketing strategy will work to offer valuable content for valuable engagements (Ludwig et
al,2013). One way to implement the tactic is to have a story, have its own separate landing page.
This also can be improved by creating many keys works that are built around the content. That a
person can just click the next story that relates to that of his interest. Stating facts always and

coming up with educative content to learn from and offering custom content is important.
Readers will have no problem paying to access the content.
Another marketing tactic that Hoosier Media Inc. could implement is the endorsement
and influencing. This will create awareness of about the magazine or the website, what it offers
to those even who have never had a chance to read it. The influencers who need to be well
known will help build a community, or prospective customers who could buy the articles or read
the papers online. People idolize celebrities, so when famous people are seen in advertisements
promoting a new product, audiences are prompted to buy that prod uct, either subliminally or
directly (Feng et al.,2013). This enhances traffic creation their articles hence the sales.
