Explanation & Answer

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

"The way of the Samurai" is no doubt the best piece of writing I have read in a long time. In my opinion, this is a warrior's code because, primarily, the author is concerned with some of the most essential aspects of being a warrior - loyalty, courage and humanity. in explaining the essence of this qualities, I note that the author employs Chinese philosophy and Buddhist ideology. I say this because, according to chinese philosophy, the society comes before an individual (socialist ideology).I note that the author is keen in explaining the essence of humanity (serving the society). The Buddhist aspects are seen in the author's explanation about death. The Buddhists believe that life continues after death, and that there is plenty of peace in death. Overall, I think "The Way of the Samurai" is a short, but insightful piece of writing, which is based on Chinese and Buddhist wisdom..

Please let me know if you need any clarification. I'm always happy to answer your questions.
