Question description

Write the equation of the regression line:  Predicted Heart Rate = 100.294 – 38.617Dosage

Predict the Heart Rate for a dosage of 0.32g: Predicted Heart Rate = 100.294 – 38.617 X 0.32 ≈ 87.9

Explain what the (negative) slope of  - 38.6  represents:

For every unit increase in dosage, heart rate decreases 38.6 beats.  (slope = rise/run = -38.6/1)

Explain what the y-intercept of 100.294 represents:

When dosage = 0  (no drug is given), the average heart rate is 100.294.
