1. What communication strategies have you had?
The most obvious are the most common. These include the proper use of body language
and gestures, precision and seeking feedback so as to understand where you and your
employees are headed. Honesty and listening are also important.
2. What barriers to effective communication have you experienced?
Barriers can range from bad attitudes among employees to differences in opinions. Bad
attitudes can be overcome by positive reinforcement, or a joke (if you can). The
environment can play a role in hindering effective communication if it`s noisy or if there
are distractions like technology being used to aid in conveying a message in which case
employees focus on it rather than the manager. Cultural diversity, which is called
cultural differences when acting against effective communication also hinders
communication and can be overcome by encouraging the spirit of oneness and tolerance
even in the face of differences.
3. What strategies have you used to motivate your employees?
I motivate my employees by mostly creating an upbeat environment, giving incentives,
sharing profits and even setting goals for groups so that everyone will have a reason to

Managing difficult employee’s narrows down to one simple rule; understanding
employee behavior. If you do, you will know how to react to situations when employees
have broken their code of ethics.
