1. 7 x^6 - 4x^3+1/x

degree is the largest exponent.  =6

leading coefficient is the coefficient of the largest exponent = 7

2.1/2x^2 + 2x^3 -x^5

-x^5

degree is the largest exponent.  =5

leading coefficient is the coefficient of the largest exponent = - 1
