Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel was a German philosopher who lived from 1770 until his
death in 1831 brought about by a cholera outbreak while in Berlin. Hegel is known for using the
dialectical method of reasoning which argues that truth can only be reached by an understanding
of arguments of a thesis and an antithesis. The logical argument against two contradicting facts
helps humans better reach a resolution. Hegel wrote three books in his time The Phenomenology
of Spirit, The Science of Logic, and the Elements of the Philosophy of Right. However, his
writing style is today widely agreed upon by many scholars to be incomprehensible due to Hegel
using new terminology in his work. In his first book, Hegel seeks to show how consciousness
