In Assignments 2.1 (Part 1) and 2.2 (Part 2) of the Justification Report, you built up the major parts of your formal, researched justification report (Problem Statement, Overview of Alternatives, Criteria, Methods, Evaluation of Alternatives, Findings and Analysis, and References). You will begin Part 3 by inserting your revisions of Parts 1 and 2 based on your instructor's suggestions. Then, you will include a few new additions:

Write a four (4) page, single-spaced report in which you:

1.  Create an introduction that tells what your report is about.

a.  Include the Problem Statement that you already created and revised in Part 1.

b.  Include terms that readers will need to know in order to understand the report.

c.  Briefly summarize the major sections and findings of the report that you've developed in Parts 1 and 2.

d.  Discuss what your report will cover and what it will not.

2.  Create the preliminary parts of the report that precede the Introduction (after reading Chapter 12 in your Professional Communications textbook), which includes:

a.  Title Page

b.  Transmittal

c.  Table of Contents

d.  Executive Summary
Note: Use small Roman numerals to number the pages of the preliminary parts of the report.

3.  Create the Recommendation section of the Report.

a.  Provide a one to two (1-2) sentence recommendation based on what your Evaluation of Alternatives and Findings and Analysis sections have determined is the most feasible alternative (i.e. solution) to the problem in the Problem Statement.

4.  Create the References sections, which go at the end of the Report, by pasting in your revised References page.

Be typed, single spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow APA format. Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, your name, the professor name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length.

Justification Report – Part 1 Justification Report – Part 1 Name: Duketta Dolo Institution: Strayer University Professor name: Julie Davenport Course: Professional Communication Date: 05/29/2015 Justification Report – Part 1 Problem at work:My brother was working in a software house and everything was under his control or in other words he was the man in charge there. The company had a bad ending i.e. it eventually failed to reach its destination. The reason to its failure was the lack commitment and understanding. This lack of commitment and understanding was due to the breakage of bond that kept them united. As soon as the bond of unity broke quarrels and conflicts between the people started to take place. Due to this the company was slowly but surely falling apart. It started to lose all of its reputation and clients. This was a major setback for my brother as he was unable to resolve the issue. He learned a lesson from this experience i.e. to observe and maintain a close relationship between the workers. So unity can become a major problem if not maintained and we should be able to strengthen this bond. Solutions:One of the solution to this problem is to maintain a friendly environment i.e. allow the people to chat with one another and also discuss issues with one another. Keeping environment like this will help in making the bond of unity strong enough. Second solution can be to create a scenario in which people are supposed to work in groups .This will benefit the company in a way that the people will then be able to know about each other’s capabilities, behavior, thoughts and strengths. Criteria:1-Assigning tasks:In a working environment if you give a task to each group and tell them to share their ideas freely with one another and after the completion of the task take notes of the results. When this done you will be easily able understand the importance of team work and friendly environment after examining the results. 2-Observing behavior:If a person you see has a bad attitude i.e. he is not patient enough and reckless then he cannot maintain a friendly environment and if his behavior is good then he can create a friendly environment and hence a cooperative group. This can only be done by observing each person and then deciding whether to keep a particular person or not. By doing this we can have achieve an environment free of jealousy and hatred that can later destroy a company completely from inside. 3-Patience:Patience of a group working together can be measured by assigning them a difficult task. During the task a group can easily get confused and get frustrated. This can sometimes lead to misunderstanding and conflicts. But if they are patient enough and are able to complete their task will mean that they are well organized as a group. This will then mean that instead of giving up they stayed united as friends and fought hard against difficult situation to achieve success. 4-Loyalty:- Justification Report – Part 1 Loyalty is an important factor which forms the bases of a group and a friendly environment. Loyalty can be tested by asking other peoples in the group of how well a person is going about his work. If the other people’s feedback is positive this means that he is loyal enough to his partners with in a group and this loyalty will always let you move forward instead of remaining still or moving backwards. 5-Being selfless:Making sacrifice and not thinking only about your own benefits is a selfless thing to do and this quality can win you rewards. If each person has this quality then it can lead a group to develop an unbreakable bond between them i.e. the bond of trust, unity, brotherhood and understanding. So again we can know about this quality by simply observing the people in a work group. By doing this we will come to know about the degree of selflessness that the people possess. Way of conducting research:When it comes to research I will check the alternatives being applied in different leading organizations or companies. After this I will compare those alternatives with mine. If one of the alternatives is more similar then the other one then I will recommend the employer to use that particular alternative. If the other people’s feedback is positive this means that he is loyal enough to his Justification Report 3 partners with in a group and this loyalty will always let you move forward instead of remaining still or moving backwards. 5-Being selfless:Making sacrifice and not thinking only about your own benefits is a selfless thing to do and this quality can win you rewards. If each person has this quality then it can lead a group to develop an unbreakable bond between them i.e. the bond of trust, unity, brotherhood and understanding. Way of conducting research:When it comes to research I will check the alternatives being applied in different leading organizations or companies. After this I will compare those alternatives with mine. If one of the alternatives is more similar then the other one then I will recommend the employer to use that particular alternative. Bibliographic Information:The four organizations that I have read about include Alternative energy news, Conservation international, Environmental Graffiti and Environmental working group. All four of these organizations are distinct from each other in the way they are providing essential services to their customers. Each organization is based upon group of people that work together as one. The environment they have kept within the organization is incredible. They will talk to you in the friendliest or desirable way. They have a nice group of people that will help you instead of wasting your time or irritate you. So due to this these organizations are successful enough and still running on a high note. Evaluation of alternatives with respect to criteria:For Alternative One:Criteria Assigning tasks Observing behavior Patience Loyalty Being selfless Result Satisfactory Satisfactory Satisfactory Satisfactory Satisfactory For Alternative Two:Criteria Assigning tasks Observing behavior Patience Loyalty Result Satisfactory Satisfactory Satisfactory Satisfactory Justification Report Being Selfless 4 Satisfactory These tables clearly illustrates that the criteria of Observing Behavior, Patience, loyalty and selflessness can promote a friendly environment. Similarly the criteria of assigning tasks, Observing Behavior, Patience, loyalty and selflessness can lead us to create well organized groups. Evaluation of Alternatives in narrative form:Assigning Tasks:Alternative One:In each organization a task is assigned to each person i.e. one person may be updating the latest information and one person might be managing the various processes and so on. These tasks are easily performed under a friendly environment maintained by the organizations. Alternative Two:Tasks are also assigned in the form of groups within these organizations. The particular groups are given important projects and they are successful in achieving their goals as the work together as one. Observing Behavior:Alternative One:These organizations have set some rules for their own ease i.e. the behavior of each person will be observed closely and if the behavior is not good enough then he will be fired instantly. In this way people do not show hatred or anger to others and it allows them to behave in a friendly way. Alternative Two:One can easily judge the behavior of a person when he is able to work in a group as done by the top organizations. By doing this they check the outcome and on the basis of that outcome they know who the culprit is. Patience:Alternative One:To maintain quality work and to satisfy customers organizations tell the people not to get overconfident and wait for the right moment. By applying this rule they stick together and hence eventually achieve success. Justification Report 5 Alternative Two:Patience shown by a group is always its strength and never consider it as a weakness. This rule is applied by the organizations and hence as a result they form strong groups. Loyalty:Alternative One:Being loyal to your work and being loyal to your friends among whom you work is the key towards success and this strategy is applied by the four mentioned organizations. Alternative Two:Showing loyalty in a group makes your task easy and you will always find a way to success. This principle is followed by these top organizations. Being Selfless:Alternative One:These organizations stress upon the fact that never think about your own benefits because an organization is made by people who think about others before making any decision. So think about your friends that work with you before making any decision. Alternative Two:Selflessness is an important factor that has been used not only by the mentioned organizations but also by other companies to promote an environment in which people can work together as a team. Summary:Some things that I have discovered are the people that work within these organizations are equally given importance and they are given equal opportunity to progress further. There leader keeps them together and in his way the organization is hard to fall rather it will begin rise more and more. The people work hard, they respect each other’s capabilities and instead degrading them they motivate them. They always show positive body language. They help each other out of tough situations and they never get greedy.
