The class of sociology has been particularly educative on the dynamics and trends within
society. There were lessons on ideologies that informed the social structure in the past and how
changes resulted in the modern society. Exploring different theoretical perspectives fronted by
various social thinkers provided important lessons. One of the things learnt in this class is the
concept of rationalization by Max Weber. It helps explain how and why development of
capitalism and civilization occurred. It also captures the where and when it happened (Griffiths
et al., 2016).
The concept of rationalization attributes the difference in civilization across the world to
the difference in the way rationalization developed. That most areas of life and institutions in
