MINIPROJECT 12 CRJU 320 FALL 2018 DUE: 12.12.2018 One of the main goals most researchers have is to publish the results of their research (there is a saying: “Publish or perish”). You already know that peer reviewed journals are the best places to publish research. At this stage, it is a good idea to take a look at criminology and criminal justice peer reviewed journals and assess their article submission guidelines. This can help us choose a citation format, decided on the length of the article and get an idea for weather our study is appropriate for this journal. Here is a list of great/good/decent criminology journals:          Criminology Journal of Quantitative Criminology (JQC) Journal of Research in Crime and Delinquency Justice Quarterly (JQ) Crime & Delinquency American Journal of Criminal Justice Criminology and Criminal Justice Criminal Justice and Behavior Social Problems For MP12, I want you to pick one of these journals and go on their website. You do not need to do this through the BSU library. The best way to find a journal’s website is by Googling the name of the journal. Every journal website should have a link called something like “Instructions for Authors” or “Submit a Manuscript” that will lead you to manuscript submission guidelines. I want you to read these guidelines and answer several questions about them and submit your answers vie link in this folder (copy/paste the questions into a Word file, answer them, attached the file like you did for a few previous projects What is the name of the journal you selected? What are some types of research this journal publishes? What types of topics or methodologies are they interested in? In a few sentences, describe the article submission process. Is it electronic submission or do they need you to mail them the manuscript? How many different files are they looking for (e.g., typically they need a title page and a full manuscript with names removed)? What is the page, word or length limit for articles and do tables, endnotes, and references count against this page limit? What is the word limit for the abstract? Does the journal require authors to use a particular bibliographic citation format (e.g., APA, MLA, ASA etc.)? What format?
