Stonewall, Texas. He rose through the ranks and became the 36th president of the US and served
from November 22, 1963, to January 20. 1969. President Lyndon B. Johnson wanted to mainly

discrimination. Other challenges that the president hoped to overcome include reducing crime as
well as improving the environment to enhance sustainability. To overcome these challenges,
President Lyndon B. Johnson oversaw the development of various programs and policies that
