Healthcare administration refers to the process of making short-term and long-term
decisions in healthcare, based on the healthcare provider’s business strategies. The role of
healthcare administrators, thus, is to improve the status of the sector in this interdisciplinary and
dynamic field. They do this by combining the management of human and fiscal resources,
business and health policy to ensure quality patient care. Hence, it is important for healthcare
administrators to display moral courage for the good of the healthcare provider.
