1. genotype ratio is a ratio of the combination of alleles. A phenotype ratio is the ratio of the physical appearance.


he genotypic ratio is the actual genes kind of, so when you use a punnet square and get

W W
w : Ww Ww
w : Ww Ww

all of the offspring are going to end up heterozygous and black because thats the dominant gene.
the phenotype is all black.

if two of these offspring were to get together and have kidlets, their offspring would be:

W w
W : WW Ww
w : Ww ww

in this one the genotypic ratio is 1:2:1 where the phenotypic ratio is 3:1

one homozygous black, two heterozygous blacks and one heterozygous white
or three blacks and one white.
