The label on a gallon of interior wall paints reads "Coverage: 400 square feet." If a wall is 8 feet high, what maximum length of wall could be painted by 1 1/2 gallons?

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

one gallon can cover 400 sqft.

so 1 1/2 gallons can cover = 400 x 1.5

                                            = 600 sqft.

consider the wall length = l

so

wall area = cover area

l x 8         =  600

so l          = 600/8

        l       =  75 feet

the length is = 75 feet

Please let me know if you need any clarification. I'm always happy to answer your questions.
