y= mx+ c is the Eq of line in slope intercept form ...
1. line x +2y = 6 can be written as y = -1/2 x+3 hence slope of parallel line = -1/2 =-0.5
y = -0.5x+c ; line is passing through (1,-9) hence -9 =-0.5*1+c ; solving we get c = -8.5
hence the equation become y = -0.5x-8.5 ; or x+2y+17=0
2. line x = 5 is a line parallel to y axis hence slope of parallel line = infinity or (1/0)
y = (1/0) x+c ; line is passing through (-2,4) hence 4 =(1/0) * -2+c ; solving we get c = 2
hence the equation become x = -2 ; or x = -2
3. slope of parallel line = (5-1)/(5-1) = 1
y = (1) x+c ; line is passing through (-1,-2) hence -2 =(1) * -1+c ; solving we get c = -1
hence the equation become y=x-1 ; or x-y = 1
