Reduce, reuse and Recycle refers to a scientific slogan applied in the field of
environmental science and plays a significant role. Recycling refers to the combined application
of different forms of technology to conserve the surrounding by reusing materials. The process
of recycling takes place to reduce the number of harmful substances disposed into the
environment. Recycling is thus the overall term to mean reusing disposed materials to reduce
their population and harm from the surrounding. According to the indications of the journal,
some of the materials recycled are metals, plastics, papers, glasses, batteries, and other disposed
electronics. Some of the common questions that triggered when determining the type of materials
to recycle included the form of existence in the environment. For instance, can an empty can
whether glass or plastic exist as a natural resource and how do Americans dispose of the items
was the guiding quote during the recycling exercise. The paper discusses the processes involved
in the recycling exercise based on the items listed in the journal and the potential of making a
clean environment. The report will present calculations of the expected number of materials to be
collected if the entire American population participated in the recycling exercise for a week.

Part 2

The current statistic on environmental disposal shows that Americans discard 2.7 tons of
aluminum annually and only 50% gets to the process of recycling. The rest of the percentage,
