  • Take the health equity quiz in this week’s resources to gauge your perception of health equity in the United States.
  • Choose a case study profile presented in this week’s resources to review a specific health equity issue of a vulnerable population.
  • Research health indicators (outcomes) for this vulnerable population in your state, region, and/or city.
  • Identify the disparity between a vulnerable group and a non-vulnerable group as it relates to a specific health outcome.
  • Research a population health initiative that is working to close a health equity gap, such as a concentrated program, workforce training, or an access-to-care policy that addresses at least one of the health outcomes you selected.

By Day 3

Post a summary of the population health initiative you selected and describe the levels of prevention used toward closing the health equity gap between vulnerable and non-vulnerable populations. Then, explain what you believe your role as a health administrator or health educator is in closing health equity gaps for the vulnerable populations you might serve. Be specific and provide examples
