Description

Choose a research topic that interests you. Briefly define, explore and describe the history of the topic. Discuss how the topic is typically approached from a methodological perspective as well as a philosophical paradigm of scientific knowledge. (Note: the Ponteretto article from Week 1 identifies four research paradigms: positivism, post-positivism, constructivism-interpretism, and critical-ideological). Address epistemological and ethical issues that affect how researchers think about the topic using TWO different research paradigms. Describe the ontological underpinnings, epistemological platforms and research methods most often used for each paradigmatic approach. Identify the benefits and weaknesses that each approach brings. Which do you believe this is the best approach for the topic? Why? What might you add in your own approach to this topic? This paper should be written in APA format and should be approximately 6 pages, not including references and the title page. Course source materials are required to support your thinking

SUPPORTING STUDENTS WITH AUTISM IN CLASS

Introduction

There are many diseases in the world that make it hard for children to live well and
grow well. One of these diseases is autism. Autism is a mental condition that shows itself
from early childhood. The man signs of autism are the straining when communicating, having
problems interacting with other people. They might also have a problem using language and
also grasping the normal way of doing things. Autism is mostly brought about by a defective
gene during birth. some other types of autism are caused by chemical imbalance in the body
of the child, viruses in the child’s body or lack of enough oxygen during birth. Leo Kanner in
1943, described autism as the inability to relate well with others. Since then the term autism
has broadened as people have moved from the description of autism as just the inability to
interact with others to more elaborate and extensive ways of describing autism.

Symptoms and signs of autism include learning incapacity, not being attentive to
detail, epilepsy, and depression. Children that have autism go through a lot of challenges not
only in their homes when growing but also in schools. Like other children, they deserve to be
able to acquire a good education. This means that teachers who educate them must be patient
with them.
