CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT

2
Question One

Advanced process of classroom management is a multifaceted thing that requires
implementation of effective strategies. Effective classroom management is a cardinal issue that is
necessary for engagement with learners especially at the young age (Bowers & Bowers, 2017).
There are different ways of thinking and ensuring that students are interacting with a teacher in
the best way possible. Majority of stakeholders do agree that use of different ways of classroom
management is necessary to have conducive environment for engagement with the students.
There is a comprehensive list of approaches that are related to effective classroom management
and teachers are supposed to use different strategies in order to attain success. The following are
some of the five best strategies of attaining a conducive climate for classroom engagement with
students.
Writing down Classroom Rules
It is necessary to hand out the syllabus at the beginning of the year with comprehensive
guidelines. For example, specification of tests, quizzes and the manner in which students will be
graded is such a noble course (Bowers & Bowers, 2017). Therefore, effective classroom
management is accomplished by drafting a number of rules that details what students are
supposed to do and what they are prohibited against engaging with. In the process of doing this,
it is necessary to understand the psychological and physical students of the student to avoid
brushing shoulders with them. It is also necessary to seek views of other school stakeholders.
Integrating Values of Students
There are higher chances that learners will follow guidelines that they took part in
drafting. As opposed to handing out the syllabus on the first day, it is necessary to spend time

and discuss with students potential rules and regulations that are supposed to be followed. These
should be fair and practically constructive (Bowers & Bowers, 2017). There must be majority
consensus before reaching out final conclusion. There should be consistency in guiding the
students that indeed the rules are not meant to cause disruptions but will improve their
relationship during the process of classroom work.
Encouraging Questioning
Ensuring that students are able to ask and answer questions on a number of issues they
consider important is necessary (Duque, 2017). As a teacher, I will not be focusing on syllabus
questions alone but encourage my learners to ask questions even outside the syllabus. Investing
in coming up with indomitable ways of making students interested in the syllabus is very critical.
Critical thinking is necessary in the process of ensuring that students’ unique needs have been
fully addressed.
Let Students Lead.
Learners do have different abilities and capacities of understanding concepts presented in
class and even to follow the available rules and regulations (Duque, 2017). Therefore, it is
necessary to ask students what they think about writing a short paper or doing a full exam. As a
teacher, encouraging learners to step in your shoes is very necessary and one of the best
strategies of successful classroom management. For example, students who are interested in
classroom presentation should be allowed to take the first lead. This will always improve their
confidence and ensure that they are not prone to problems.
Encouraging Group Projects

Every classroom management should and will be complemented by lessons that
encourage teamwork and leadership skills. Integrating blended learning by use of technology
streamlines the process of classroom management by a significant margin. Technology will
encourage students to work, play and exchange ideas via the internet. Collaborating fluency is
necessary for enhancing effective classroom management climate. Encouraging working outside
and inside classroom is necessary for talent development among other important aspects (Duque,
2017).
